The friend who installed Ubuntu I understand that these are very basic questions, but when I have hit problems in the past I found everybody knows someone who can sort out Windows, but most have never even heard of Linux, which is why I fear that I will lose the use of my computer if through lack of technical knowledge I make a simple mistake.
